McHenry County Library Lovers Expedition 2025

We are so excited to once again invite you to explore the libraries that serve McHenry County! From February 1 to March 31, 2025, take a tour of our area libraries to see what they have to offer.

This year we welcome Nippersink Public Library District back to the Expedition! They join our 14 other fabulous libraries:

Register at your home library to receive your brochure and your very first brag tag. Each library will have a unique brag tag to pick up when you visit their location! You can also get a map of all the library locations and a menu of the gift basket options. Many libraries will have special activities for you to try, and you can also join in some of their regular programming or check out materials by registering your library card. 

NEW this year: crack the Library Lovers' code! Find the letter at each participating library and complete the mystery puzzle found on the map. 

Visit at least 12 libraries to be entered into a raffle for a gift basket valued at $50. Visit all 15 libraries for a chance to win the Grand Prize Gift Basket, valued at $150.
