Event Details

A founding member of the Impressionists, Claude Monet found inspiration in scenes of modern life and in the French landscape. His travels to England and Italy led to paintings featuring landmarks in London and Venice. In this lecture, learn about Monet’s career and his favorite series subjects including train stations, grain stacks, poplars, and waterlilies. Art historian Jeff Mishur presents this lecture. Mishur is co-owner of Art Excursions, a company that provides private guiding in Chicago; boutique art and culture tours in the United States; and lectures on a wide range of subjects.
