The University of Illinois – Urbana-Champaign works with other national and international organizations to gather data about plastic in the environment. Visible plastic, like straws, bags, and wrappers, is only part of the problem. Microplastics scientist John Scott shares research on how plastic finds its way into the ground, air, water, and more.
